Seven burnt, two injured in Idiroko tanker crash
No fewer than seven persons were reportedly burnt to death in a fresh tanker explosion in Idiroko after a commercial bus collided with a petrol tanker yesterday.
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) confirmed the development. Unit Commander of FRSC, Mr. Akinwunmi Olaluwoye, told newsmen in Ota that seven persons died in the explosion after the bus crashed with a petrol tanker at Ajilete on Idiroko expressway.
He stressed that two persons also sustained various degrees of injuries, adding that the bus due to speeding, rammed into the tanker, laden with 33 litres of petroleum products while it was ascending the sloppy road.
