Seven die, two injured in Bauchi road accident
No fewer that seven persons lost their lives while two others were injuredin a motor accident, which occurred yesterday along Bauchi-Jos Road.
Briefing newsmen, the Spokesperson of Bauchi Zonal Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Corps Commander, Daniel Sayi, said the accident involved a truck with Registration Number TYW 24 XA and a Peugeot.
He said that the truck collided with a Peugeot J5 Pick-Up with Registration Number ALK 165 XA at Dungal village, killing the seven persons and injuring two others.
The Corps Commandant added that a rescue operation was carried out by FRSC personnel, who visited the scene to evacuate the victims, including the dead and injured to the hospital.
Sayi in a text message further confirmed that the bodies of the victims had been deposited at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH) mortuary while the two injured persons were receiving treatment.
