Shettima to meet IsDB chairman in Saudi Arabia
Vice President Kashim Shettima is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with the Chairman of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group, Dr Muhammad-Sulaiman Al-Jasser, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on December 20.
This is contained in a statement, yesterday, by Mr Stanley Nkwocha, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Communications, Office of the Vice President.
Nkwocha explained that discussions between Shettima and Al-Jasser would centre on co-financing arrangements for the Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zones (SAPZ Phase II).
”This is to enhance coordination of IsDB projects in Nigeria to support the country’s agricultural and economic development,” Nkwocha said.
He added that Shettima had departed Dubai for Saudi Arabia following his representation of President Bola Tinubu at the commissioning of a 315 million dollars oil production and storage facility owned by Oriental Energy Ltd. (OERL).
“He was seen off at the airport by the Executive Chairman of OERL, Alhaji Muhammadu Indimi; the Executive Vice Chairman of OERL, Malam Goni Sheikh, among others.
The Vice President’s spokesperson said Shettima, on landing at the Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madina, Saudi Arabia, was received by the Deputy Governor of Madina Region, Abdulmohsen Bin Hamed, and Nigerian diplomatic officials, including the Consulate General of Jeddah, Amb. Mu’azzam Nayaya.
