All roads lead to the Muri Okunola Park, in Victoria Island, today, as the Palmwine Music Festival returns for its sixth edition. Arguably one of Afrobeats’ biggest festivals, with other diaspora editions in Accra, New York and London, the Palmwine Music Festival returns with an avant-garde line-up that features its founders and dynamic emcee duo, Show Dem Camp, as well as other global voices.
The star-studded line-up includes DJ Spinall, Ladipoe, Tems, Bloody Civilian, Tomi Thomas, Tomi Obanure, BOJ, among others. This year’s music fest will kick off by day, with an exciting segment hosted by Kevwe and Cam, equipped with an interesting line-up of talents known to captivate audiences.
Palmwine Merch and pop-up shops are another colourful highlight of the festival. The event climaxes with an explosive all-nighter that melds breathtaking performances from the show’s headliners.
“Palmwine Music Festival has grown over the years to become an impactful community, the perfect networking environment, and a gateway place for music lovers and people looking to enjoy the holiday season,” the organisers said.
In 2017, Show Dem Camp launched the Palmwine Music Festival – a live music experience created as a platform to celebrate and experience Nigeria’s burgeoning alternative music scene.
