Shun distractions, strive for your goals, Ojigbani charge Nigerians

The winner of the GroundZero Reality Show, Mr Joel Ojigbani has urged Nigerians to strive for their goals and avoid distractions that could prevent them from achieving their targets.

Ojigbani ststed this while elaborating on the way he won the reality show.

Ojigbani, emerged as the winner of GroundZero, a reality television show where contestants are to build business from the scratch without capital.

The show which was hosted by Frank Edoho, ended with a thrilling victory as contestant, Ojigbani hit the N1 million target and bagged the N5 million grand prize.

Ojigbani said that the show push his limits and boundaries, thereby making him see things differently and challenging him.

“To be honest, particularly in the show came at a perfect time for me cause I was going through a breakup so participating in the show was a beautiful distraction for me.

“What helped me in becoming the winner was that I planned properly and good preparation brought me to where I am as I motivated myself by shutting out all form of negativity.

“From day one, I was very relaxed and calm but that doesn’t mean that I’m saying I didn’t have my doubts cause in the very beginning, I didn’t think it was possible to hit the mark but I kept on motivating myself and shut out self doubts.

“The first steps I took in taking up the challenge were very important and crucial to my success at the end of the show,” he said.

He acknowledged that he faced several challenges and noted that approaching Nigerians can be daunting.

He also mentioned that he leaner many valuable lessons from the show and intends to use those lessons to positively impact the society.

“When they dropped us at Ojulegba, that was the turning point and reality set in that the show has truly begun so I swung into action but it was easy at all.

“One major challenge I had to overcome was creating an instagram account and building up the page cause I had to go into Unilag to conceive people to follow my page and we all know how challenging that can be.

“Also, another taunting challenge for me was conceiving people to key into my business idea as I had to go from one shop to another in Ikeja to take to different set of people and this wasn’t easy at all.

“But in all of these, the valuable lesson I learnt from the show was never to ignore the little things cause the little things grow into something bigger hence my achievement today,” he stated.

Ojibanu added that he has successfully launching his gym wear brand called ‘ACTIVE’ with the prize money

He also noted that his social media presence, invitation for gigs and contents has grown significantly following his win.

He encouraged Nigerians to stay focus on their goals, emphasising that hard work and determination always pays off.
