Space center partners Nigerian correctional service on capacity development

To improve the capacity of personnel in service delivery, the National Space Research and Development Agency, (NARSDA), has organised a five-day capacity training on Geographic Information System (GIS).

A communique signed by the Public Relations Officer, (PRO), of the service, Abubakar Umar, contains that the training will further improve productivity and the successful operations of NCoS.

It notes that the Director General of NARSDA Dr Halilu Shabba said collaboration on consistent capacity building between between the two agencies is essential to national developme.

Controller General, NCoS, Haliru Nababa, said “NARSDA is an agency established to support other agencies in terms of pilot projects amongst others for national development.

Represented by Dr John Ayogu, Nababa said “The collaboration could go beyond training
to the attainment of space capabilities and enhancement of quality of life.”
