States borrowed N12.9tn from banks in 2015, says NBS
The National Bureau of Statistics has revealed that 36 states of the federation, including the Federal Capital Territory sought and obtained N12.9 trillion from banks in 2015.
According to the report, Lagos state was advanced a total credit of N10.1trillion, followed by Rivers with N658.2billion, the Federal Capital Territory, N402.1billion and Kano with N185.05 billion.
Abia got N72. 3billion ; Adamawa, N45.6billion ; Bauchi N31.09 billion; Bayelsa , N26.1billion; Borno, N55.49billion; Cross River, N121.9billion; Delta , N159.9billion; Ebonyi, N44.8billion; Edo N70billion and Ekiti N31.5billion .
