Sunbeth Energies Limited has signed an agreement with Dangote Petroleum Refinery & Petrochemicals FZE for the nationwide distribution of refined petroleum products, marking a significant development in Nigeria’s downstream energy sector.
The deal, announced on Monday, establishes Sunbeth Energies as one of the few petroleum marketers with direct distribution rights from the Dangote Refinery. Under the agreement, the company will supply refined petroleum products across its retail network throughout the country.
Speaking on the development, Sunbeth Energies Managing Director, Lateef Abioye, described the agreement as a signal of the company’s continued growth and readiness to contribute to Nigeria’s energy supply system.
“This partnership with Dangote Refinery is not just a deal, it’s a signal,” Abioye said. “It signals our continued drive to contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s energy security and long-term economic value. At Sunbeth Energies, we are building for the future, a resilient and responsive supply system that delivers with consistency, earns trust, and serves both industries and communities nationwide.”
The company stated that the agreement is expected to help reduce inefficiencies in the fuel supply chain, improve product availability, and strengthen consumer confidence in the domestic distribution system.
Victoria Awoniyi, Head of Retail Sales at Sunbeth Energies, said the agreement supports the company’s market growth objectives and ability to respond to evolving energy demands.
“This partnership represents another important step in strengthening our ability to serve the market at scale,” Awoniyi said. “It expands the flexibility of our supply network and supports our ongoing efforts to deliver timely, dependable energy solutions to customers across Nigeria.”
The agreement comes as Nigeria intensifies efforts to improve local refining capacity and reduce dependence on imported fuel. With refined products from the Dangote Refinery now entering domestic markets, partnerships such as this are expected to play a central role in the distribution phase of the government’s energy strategy.
Founded less than two years ago, Sunbeth Energies operates in Nigeria’s downstream oil sector, focusing on the bulk trading, distribution, and supply of petroleum products.
