Suspected case tested negative in Enugu

The Enugu State Ministry of Health has confirmed that the suspected Covid-19 patient in the state has tested negative. Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Dr. Ifeanyi Agujiobi confirmed that the outcome of the test carried on the 70-year-old woman showed no traces of the deadly disease.

“We hereby inform members of the general public that we have received the result of the investigation sent to Irrua Specialist Hospital, Edo State, which has been further corroborated by Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) as negative.

“We hereby enjoin the general public to go about their normal businesses, but however remain alert, vigilant and observe basic personal health hygiene,” Agujiobi said.
