Suspected killer of Niger permanent secretary dies in police custody

Fatiha Abdulhakeem who was accused of killing a retired Permanent Secretary in Niger State has died in Police custody in Minna, Niger State.

Police authorities did not disclose the cause of the death of the 18-year-old Abdulhakeem.

The suspect was paraded a few days ago at the Police Headquarters Minna by the Commissioner of Police, CP Shawulu Ebenezer Danmamman.

Abdulhakeem is the principal suspect in the killing of the retired Permanent Secretary, Adamu Jagaba, who was stabbed at his block industry along the PDP secretariat in Minna.

While revealing his full involvement during the Police parade, Abdulhakeem hinted that he was contracted by the staff of the late Permanent Secretary at his block industry to kill him.

The spokesperson of the Niger State Police Command, SP Wasiu Abiodun, confirmed the suspect dead, pointing out that the suspect complained of severe stomach pain and was taken to the general hospital Minna for medical attention and died while receiving treatment.
