The Atiku Movement (TAM) has lambasted Senator Adam Oshiomhole for describing former Vice President Atiku Abubakar as Nigeria’s most famous political defector.
In a statement issued on X on Monday, The Atiku Movement (TAM) vehemently condemns Oshiomhole for what it described as deplorable and baseless attack on Atiku during a recent television appearance.
Oshiomhole went on to suggest that no one is more qualified to author a book on the subject of party defections than the former vice president himself., Speaking during an appearance on Politics Today, a Channels Television programme aired on Tuesday, Oshiomhole traced Atiku’s repeated political shifts as evidence of a long-standing pattern driven by ambition rather than ideology.
In its response, TAM maintained that the purported claims by Oshiomhole would not deter Atiku from continuing to give moral support to democratic forces across the country to ensure a better life for Nigerians.
‘Oshiomhole’s shameless retort, steeped in sycophancy, lays bare his tragic descent from a revered labour union champion to a grovelling mouthpiece for the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s corrupt and failing regime.
”TAM is outraged by Oshiomhole’s betrayal of the Edo people, whose trust he squandered by foisting an incompetent governor upon them to serve his selfish interests and those of his APC paymasters. His actions are a stark betrayal of the Nigerian masses, who yearn for leaders of integrity to deliver a better future.
“We demand that Oshiomhole seek forgiveness from God and the people of Edo, focus on his lacklustre senatorial duties, and cease his cowardly attacks on Atiku, a statesman whose vision for a united and prosperous Nigeria remains unmatched, ”TAM said.
