Task force chairman accuses land grabbers of fighting back with diabolic powers
Chairman, Delta State Task Force on Recovery of Government Land, Frank Omare, has alleged that land grabbers took the names of task force members to a shrine to stop the demolition of illegal structures on land belonging to Dennis Osadebay University, Anwai-Asaba.
He said: “We saw that the man behind it was naked. When he saw us, he jumped and ran away. Our lives are being threatened.” Omare said the government’s
action was not targeted at any individual or persons but aimed at recovering land belonging to the institution.
He added that the task force was not perturbed by any satanic moves against it, and assured that the exercise to recover all government lands across the state would continue with a view to stopping land grabbers from fleecing unsuspecting members of the public through illegal sales.
