Tinubu approves provisional licenses for 11 private varsities

President Bola Tinubu on Monday approved provisional licenses for 11 private universities in Nigeria.

The Special Adviser to the President on Public Communication, Sunday Dare, disclosed this in a statement on his official X account.

“At today’s FEC meeting, the following private universities were approved: New City University, Ayetoro Ogun State; University of Fortune, igbotako, Ondo State and Eranova University, Mabushi,” Dare announced.

Others, according to Dare are Minaret University, Ikirun, Osun Annex; Abubakar Toyin University, oke-Agba, Kwara State;
Southern Atlantic University Uyo, Akwa Ibom State anad Lens University, ilemona, Kwara State.

Also on the list are Monarch University, Iyesi-Ota, Ogun State; Tonnie Iredia University of Communication, Benin City; Isaac Balami University of Aeronautics and Management, Lagos as well as Kevin Eze University, Mgbowo, Enugu State.

Dare added that President Tinubu is committed to expanding the frontiers of educational opportunities and infrastructure in Nigeria.
