Tinubu hails Ododo’s ‘impressive’ start in Kogi
Gov pledges to combat food insecurity
President Bola Tinubu has commended Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Ododo, for his impressive start to life in office as the governor and pledged his continued support in his efforts to transform the state.
Tinubu stated this, yesterday, when Ododo visited the Presidential Villa in Abuja to brief him on the security situation in Kogi and the efforts by his administration to improve security in all parts of the state.
In a statement by Special Adviser to the Governor on Media, Ismaila Isah, noted that the governor commended Tinubu for his efforts to address the food crisis in the country, promising that distribution of food palliatives in the state would continue throughout the year.
Ododo assured the President of his commitment to food security in the state, with the clearing of hectares of land and subsidy for farmers in the state to boost food production, processing facilities and market access.
He commended Tinubu for the speed and commitment demonstrated by the Federal Ministry of Works towards the timely completion of federal road projects in Kogi.
stressing that the Abuja/Lokoja/Benin road is receiving the level of attention that reflects the determination of the Federal Government to complete the project within the stipulated timeframe.
