Tinubu not sick, out of country to observe rest, lesser hajj, aide clarifies
President-Elect, Bola Tinubu, has travelled abroad to rest and plan his transition programme ahead of May 29, 2023 inauguration. A terse statement by an official from his media team, Tunde Rahman, cautioned the media publishing unsubstantiated stories.
He was apparently referring to an online publication, which claimed that Tinubu’s trip abroad was to enable him attend to his health. Rahman disclosed that his principal left the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Ikeja for Europe on Tuesday night, adding that he decided to take a break after the hectic campaign and election season to rest in Paris and London, preparatory to going to Saudi Arabia for Umrah (Lesser Hajj) and the Ramadan fasting that begins today.
