President-ELECT, Bola Tinubu, has unveiled a 13-member Presidential Inauguration Committee to oversee the weeklong activities leading to his swearing in and that of his deputy, Kashim Shettima, on May 29.

In a related development, a group, The Natives, has urged security agencies to step up their game and check activities of those bent on truncating civil rule in the country.
The Supreme Leader, Smart Edwards, in a statement, lauded the military, police and the Department of State Services (DSS) for exposing interim national government plots and defending Nigeria’s nascent democracy.
He observed that the secret police acted swiftly to inform the public of the “capricious tendencies of desperate feudal political oligarchies, using unsuspecting youths to rubbish all institutions of government and denigrate them to promote anarchy and acts of discountenance in the country.”
Edwards continued: “We, The Natives, are also using this medium to urge the Nigerian security apparatus to step up their game against the saboteurs, as the nation prepares towards the historic inauguration of the 16th President of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“We must at this juncture openly commend the swift response of the DSS, Defence Headquarters and the entire intelligence community for their professionalism and commitment to democracy.”
