Two Perm Secs to face tribunal over non-declaration of assets
The Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT), on Thursday ordered two Permanent Secretaries from Adamawa, Dr Bala Usman and Mamud Abubakar, to appear before it on Nov. 16 over charges on non-declaration assets.
Chairman of the Tribunal, Justice Danladi Umar, issued the summon in Abuja at the resumed trial of the duo.
“The accused persons must appear before this tribunal on Nov. 16’’, Umar said.
Earlier, Mr Aliyu Ahmad, Counsel to the accused persons, urged the tribunal to adjourn to give him time to study an application filed by the prosecutor.
Ahmad explained that he had filed a no case application and served same on the prosecutor.
He said the prosecuting counsel, Mr Peter Danladi, had also filed a reply to his no case application and would need time to respond.
Danladi did not oppose the application for adjournment.
He apologised for the delay in filing and serving the defense counsel with the reply.
