United Nations (UN) Humanitarian Coordinator in Nigeria, Edward Kallon has condemned the destruction of humanitarian ‘accommodation and logistics’ by non-state armed group at Ngala in Borno state.

Terrorists have severally attacked Ngala Community, which borders Nigeria with Cameroon and recently blew up Gambouru Bridge.

In a statement yesterday in Maiduguri, he lamented Saturday’s attacks, saying, “I am outraged by the extremely violent attack on this key humanitarian facility.”

He explained that the damaged humanitarian hub accommodates five UN staff members as at the time of the incident, adding that the UN hub at Ngala was the direct target of a complex assault by heavily armed operatives of non-state armed groups.
