UNICEF’s new field officer, Pathak tasks partners on collaboration  


The newly appointed Chief Field Officer of United Nation’s Children Fund (UNICEF), Bauchi Field Office, Bhanu Pathak, has called for collaboration from UNICEF partners, as well as, the state government in order to ensure prompt payment of counterpart funds.

He expressed disappointment that despite the availability of resources in every nook and cranny of the country, women and children have continued to die in large numbers.Pathak came on board due to the recent demise of Abdullahi Kaikai, who was the former Chief Officer of the zone. He passed away in the Republic of Rwanda, late last year.

The new chief field officer, will oversee the affairs of UNICEF in Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Plateau and Taraba states.Pathak alongside UNICEF officers from the zone reiterated UNICEF’s determination to continue giving attention to issues related to women and children in the state.
