US group arrives in Nigeria, partners FG on insecurity
A United States-based Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) Newstime International yesterday offered to partner the Federal Government to end insurgency that has claimed several lives and property.
The faith-based group with Christians, Moslems and other religions as members, insisted that they are in the country to offer solution to the security challenges bedeviling Nigeria and which had threaten peace, development and scared away foreign investors from Nigeria.
Speaking at a media briefing, Chief Executive Officer of the group, Tony Oyatedor and Coordinator, Rear Admire Godwill Ombo (rtd.), said the use of military force in the prosecution of Boko Haram crisis and herdsmen crisis in Nigeria was not the solution to the attacks and killings.
They said the group was in the country to meet President Muhammadu Buhari and others to ensure that the crises end.
