Uyo NAPTIP new zonal commander pledges to uphold agency’s values

Mr Ubong Ekwere, new Zonal Commander, National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), Uyo Zonal Commnad, has pledged to uphold the agency’s core values.
Ekwere who made the pledge on Tuesday in Uyo, while taking over the leadership of the zone from his predecessor, Mr Emmanuel Awhen, also promised to work toward reducing human trafficking in the state.
He commended his predecessor for tackling human trafficking and strengthening the command’s efforts.
He also expressed gratitude to the agency’s management for entrusting him with leading the zone.
“I am honoured and humbled to take over as the zonal commander of the Uyo zonal command.
“I acknowledge the rich legacy and traditions of excellence built over the years in this command.
”I pledge to lead by example with integrity, transparency, fairness and accountability,” he said.
He assured that the command would collaborate with sister security agencies in the state, government and stakeholders, to ensure effective service delivery.
The new zonal commander urged the personnel to work together as a team, to deliver on the zone’s mandate.
Earlier, the outgoing zonal commander, urged the personnel to extend the cooperation and support given to him during his stay, to the new commander with a view to uplifting the agency.
