Uzodimma appoints Ucheoma as MD of Imo housing corporation

Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, has approved the appointment of the immediate past Imo Head of Service, Raymond Ucheoma, as the Managing Director of the Imo State Housing Corporation (IMSHC).

Ucheoma, a lawyer, was announced in a statement signed by the Secretary to the Government of Imo State, Cosmas Iwu.

“His Excellency has enjoined the new Managing Director to bring his wealth of experience to bear in the performance of his new job,” Iwu said.

“He looks forward to a new Imo State Housing Corporation, whose philosophy and service delivery will align with the 3R prosperity agenda of the present administration.”

In another development, the governor has warned those parading fake land papers to distance themselves from people issuing such documents.

The warning was issued in a statement with reference number IMSG/MC/007/2025, signed by the Special Adviser to Governor Hope Uzodimma, on Monitoring and Compliance, Chinasa Nwaneri.

He disclosed that such was going on around Irete Pocket Layout, Imo Housing Estate, Port Harcourt Road, Obinze, among others.

“The General public is hereby notified that land allocations/offer letters issued in this regard were fraudulently backdated and remain fake,” he said.

“Anyone who deals or transacts on the layouts does so at his own peril. The state government shall henceforth deal decisively with anyone or group of persons seen conducting any activity within the area and will ensure the full weight of the law is brought upon that person(s). Further notice shall be issued if necessary.”
