The West Africa Pharma Healthcare (WAPHC) Nigeria kicks off from August 1st to 3rd, 2023 at Sheraton Hotel Lagos. It is an international medical pharmaceutical and healthcare industry trade fair.

The event will bring together the manufacturers, wholesalers, dealers and distributors of the medical diagnostic pharmaceutical industry, hospitals and influential decision-makers in the West African region in Nigeria.

As the first ever health business event/forum that bringing together the key decision makers and captains of the health industry, the exhibition is a global event in the healthcare calendar and offers an ideal environment for companies to showcase their products in one of the fastest growing and most lucrative healthcare markets in the world.

West Africa Pharma Healthcare Nigeria Show is expecting 100 plus exhibitors at this edition with over 5000 visitors from pharmaceutical medical and healthcare industry community from Nigeria and West Africa, and over 100 hosted buyers/ partners from the sector at Balmoral Convention Centre – Sheraton lkeja, Lagos.

Nigeria has been described as the largest country and economy in the West Africa, with an estimated population of more than 200 million. Pharmaceutical market in Nigeria is presently valued at close to 2.5billion dollars in 2022 and is expected to touch 4billion dollar in 2026, with about half of demand met through imports.

Forty five per cent of the pharmaceutical consumption is concentrated in the top five Nigerian cities, and per capita spending in big cities can reach almost twice the national average. Out of 80,000 retail pharmacies, only 4,500 are registered and more than 70 per cent sales from unregistered and informal outlets served by some 200 wholesalers.
