The suspects, John Adenitire (30), a.k.a Emir; Fisayo Fasanu, a.k.a Abore and Abdulrafiu Tijani, a herbalist, disclosed that the price placed on human parts attracted them to the business.

Three suspected ritualists, who were nabbed by the Ondo State police command have confessed that they were contracted to kill students of Adeyemi College of Education (ACE), Ondo, for a sum of N15 million.

The suspects, John Adenitire (30), a.k.a Emir; Fisayo Fasanu, a.k.a Abore and Abdulrafiu Tijani, a herbalist, disclosed that the price placed on human parts attracted them to the business.

They, alongside other 15 suspected armed robbers, were paraded by the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Gbenga Adeyanju, at the command headquarters yesterday in Akure.

Their victims, Miss Oladepo Blessing and Oluwasemilore Mary had earlier been declared missing until their decomposing bodies were found in the bush.

Adenitire recounted that he was introduced to the business by one of his friends, Fasanu. “I was in my house when ‘Abore’ told me he has business for me. He said they want to do rituals. I said what they wanted to do was powerful. They said there is not going to be any problem. The second day around 9:30p.m., we went for the job, two girls and one boy.

“We picked the two girls and took them into the bush, we removed the left breast and the left hand and took them to the herbalists. We left the other parts in the bush. We had a friend known as Shile, he was the one who took the body parts to a particular ritualist at Ijebu Igbo and the other one at Ore.”

He, however, added that the money they were promised was yet to get to them when the police arrested them.

Meanwhile, Adeyanju, who resumed duties barely 48 hours, said the command would prosecute the suspects accordingly and charge them to court after police conclude its investigations.
