We won’t include PDP members in our cabinet — Oyedepo
Former Chairman of Kwara State chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Iyiola Oyedepo has ruled out an inclusive government with members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Oyedepo told The Guardian, yesterday, that the alleged reckless manner with which the PDP ruled the state in 16 years, “showed there was no patriotic element in the party in Kwara.”
Giving an insight into how the cabinet of Governor AbdulRasak AbdulRahaman would look like, when eventually constituted, Oyedepo, a former Chief Whip of the state’s legislature, said the team would include economic experts, technocrats and opinion leaders “with high pedigree of records of successes.”
The politician, who described Kwara as a bleeding state in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the APC led government, said all members of the party, who stood out in the cause of ‘Otooge’ movement, which led to the PDP’s defeat would be compensated but not necessarily as members of the cabinet.
