Secretary to Lagos State Government, (SSG), Tunji Bello, has said that every effort aimed at combatting terrorism, no matter how insignificant it may appear, goes a long way in the overall success of counter-terrorism strategy.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the National Counter Terrorism Strategy (NACTEST) implementation workshop, yesterday, Bello stated that the fight against terrorism must be all-inclusive, stressing that while the Federal Government is expected to provide leadership, other levels of government and non-governmental and community based organisations must be carried along.

Bello said: “This is very crucial, given the unconventional nature of terrorism. Therefore, all hands must be on deck and all stakeholders must be on the same page and be ready to contribute their fair share in the deal to ensure a safe and prosperous Nigeria for all and sundry.”

The SSG, who represented Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, said that Lagos State Government will continue to extend necessary logistic support to security agencies in the state.
