WEDAL to host first embassies, consular missions confab

To maintain friendly relations among nations, economic growth, international peace and security, World Economic Development Agency Limited (WEDAL) is set to host for the first time a top business conference in Nigeria tagged: “Embassies and Consular Missions Conference 2017”.

The confab will have former President Olusegun Obasanjo as the chief host; erudite professor of political and social economy and management expert, Pat Utomi as lead speaker and the royal majesty, Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi as special guest of honour, as well as other distinguished dignities.

The event will hold at the prestigious Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Abeokuta, Ogun State, from March 30 to 31, 2017. It will also bring together foreign embassy management teams, policy makers, government ministries, departments, agencies and experts from private sector, chambers of commerce, technology development agencies, motivated educational institutions investment consultants, business support agencies, and community development organisations, among others, to exchange ideas on best practices in the art of running diplomatic assignments.

The ECMC 2017 will serve as a platform that creates the unique opportunity for visa questions and answers, meet diplomatic personnel from various foreign embassies in Nigeria, understand the details of consular jobs and what is expected of the consular in Nigeria; taking a view of the corporate social responsibilities of consular in other nations.

WEDAL is present in several countries around the world including Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, United Kingdom and the United States of America.
