We’ll redouble efforts to combat crime, says Imo CP
Imo State Commissioner of Police, Rabiu Hussaini has reassured residents of the command’s commitment to ensure effective policing and safety of the people.
Hussaini gave the assurance during the decoration of the newly promoted officers of the command in Owerri. He said the success recorded during the festive season in fighting crimes and criminality in the state would be sustained.
He added: “We will continue to make sure that criminals do not make Imo their safe haven. We witnessed a crime free Christmas and New Year season. And we want to assure you that we are going to maintain the tempo, the capacity and capability of what we acted during the festive season in the New Year. We want to assure you that the police are committed to protecting life and property.”
The police boss also charged the promoted officers to redouble commitment and professionalism and justify their promotion.
He said: “You now have new challenges and new responsibilities, so you have to exhibit professionalism in your new assignment.”
The promoted officers are ACP Julius Ahaneku, CSP Richard Omoseyin, SP Ikenna Njoku, SP Ngozi Onuoha, and ASP Chukwuemeka Obigaeri. They pledged to offer their best.
