Why Borno PDP suspended six committee members
Borno State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has suspended six of its State Working Committee (SWC) members.
The suspended members were accused of holding unauthorised party meetings, gross misconduct and violation of the 2017 PDP constitution.
They included Bunu Satomi (Deputy Chairman), Abdu Jidda (Legal Adviser), Kaka Shettima, Abba Kalumi, Mohammed Ballah and Umar Shani.
Borno PDP Publicity Secretary, Amos Adziba, stated, yesterday, in Maiduguri, that the suspension was for alleged attempts by those affected to cause disunity in the party and possible breakdown of law and order.
He warned that the party would not hesitate to take legal action against those tarnishing its image.
Urging the public to disregard any information that does not emanate from Adziba, he called on party supporters to remain calm and law-abiding, as the suspension was in accordance with the party’s constitution.
