Wizkid hails Super Eagles’ energy ahead of Rwanda clash

Award-winning Afrobeats star, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has shown support for the Super Eagles as they gear up for their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Rwanda.

The three-time African champions have been preparing for the encounter, with newly appointed head coach Eric Chelle leading his first training session on Tuesday afternoon.

On Wednesday, Wizkid took to his X (formerly Twitter) handle to express his admiration for the team’s spirit under their new coach.

He said, “New Super Eagles team! [I] love the energy.”

The post has since sparked excitement among fans, with many seeing it as a morale booster for the squad ahead of the decisive fixture.

The highly anticipated match is scheduled to take place at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali, Rwanda, on Friday, March 21, at 5 PM Nigerian time.

After facing Rwanda, the Super Eagles will return home to take on Zimbabwe in Uyo on Tuesday.
