Woman gives birth at PDP rally in Delta State


A lady identified as Odiri Benjamin, reportedly gave birth to a baby girl at PDP political rally today in Delta State.

The lady who felt dizzy leading to the delivery of the baby, was seen giving her support at the rally organized by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) at the Council Pavillion of Isiokolo in Ethiope East LGA of Delta State.

Despite the crowd at the rally, it was learnt that the medical team, which accompanied the governor of Delta State, Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa to the campaign successfully delivered the woman.

Reacting to the news, Okowa said the birthday of the newborn baby girl is a sign of victory for him and other candidates of the People’s Democratic Party.

The governor said, “God has just shown you all the sign today. We delivered the woman safely, both the mother and the child is alive. This is from God and it is a good thing. God has brought victory to us all” The Governor thanked the people of Ethiope-East LGA for the support accorded his administration just as he promised to continue to empower the youths, women, elders of the area.

The PDP Campaign Chairman, Prof. Sam Oyovbaire in a remark said, ”this is a miracle. We have had what we didn’t have in other campaigns.”
