Your security is our priority, Delta Police assures residents
The Delta State Police Command has assured the citizens of the state that their security is paramount and that the police are ready to ensure their lives and property are secured.
The Police spokesperson, Bright Edafe, made this known on his X handle (formerly Twitter) as the state command showcased illegal arms and highlighted cases the command had handled and solved between January and February 2025.
According to the spokesperson, the police in state state arrested three suspected kidnappers accused of raping their female victims.
Edafe said, “Between the end of January and this month of February, the command recovered one G-3 rifle, one pump-action gun, one Beretta pistol, three cut-to-size guns, three single-barrel long guns, ammunition, and cartridges.
“Operatives of the CP special assignment team also arrested three suspected kidnappers who sometimes rape their female victims before releasing them.
“The command, under CP Olufemi Abaniwonda, will continue to work for Deltans to sleep with their eyes closed.
