YPP vows to sweep Plateau guber, legislative polls
Young Progressive Party (YPP) Chairman in Plateau State, Simon Gopep; House of Representatives candidate for Langtang North/South, Yaknan Yarnap, and the governorship candidate, Nde Gontori have vowed to sweep the 2023 polls in the state.
YPP made the declaration, yesterday, at the commissioning of the campaign offices of the House of Representatives candidate for Langtang North/South.
Speaking at the event in Langtang South, where the first office was commissioned, Gontori said they were the ones who constituted the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Plateau, which the people rejected.
They boasted of having what it takes to achieve their aim, apart from working extra hard.
His words: “YPP has come to take over power in 2023, no doubt. This is because APC has already spent eight years, but has done nothing for the people. The campaign office we commissioned today, though a small office, holds lots of promises.
“So, when they will count the votes of YPP in Langtang South after the 2023 elections, do not begin to ask whether it is from this small office that such votes are produced.”
