Gov. Abba Yusuf of Kano State has condoled with his Jigawa counterpart, Gov. Umar Namadi, over the death of his eldest son, Abdulwahab Namadi, who lost his life in a tragic auto crash.

The incident occurred after the passing of Hajiya Maryam Namadi, Abdulwahab’s paternal grandmother, on Wednesday.

Malam Sunusi Tofa, the governor’s spokesperson in a statement said that Yusuf described the loss as a tremendous tragedy, not only for the Namadi family but for Jigawa and the Northern region.

Yusuf commended the deceased for his dedication to the progress and the development of his community, describing him as a young man with a bright future.

The governor’s son would be laid to rest in Kafin Hausa, Jigawa, in line with Islamic rites.

Yusuf offered prayers for Allah’s mercy on the deceased and strength for the bereaved family to endure the painful loss.

“This is a deeply sorrowful moment for Jigawa. I pray that Almighty Allah grants the deceased eternal rest in Jannatul Firdaus and comfort the Namadi family and the people of Jigawa during this trying period,” the governor added.

The News Agency of Nigeria gathered that Namadi’s deceased son was involved in a motor accident while returning from Kafin Hausa to Dutse with his friends.

He was said ti have lost control of the vehicle he was driving, causing it to somersault.

Some of his friends involved in the accident were receiving treatment at the Dutse General Hospital.
