OPPOSITION All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) Zamfara State has described the victory of General Muhammad Buhari’s APC, at the just concluded presidential election as the victory of all Nigerians irrespective of religious, tribal and regional inclination.

APGA gubernatorial candidate in the state, Alhaji Sani Abdullahi Shinkafi said in Gusau, capital of the state shortly after the conclusion and subsequent announcement of the results that it deserves commendation.

The APGA candidate however, advised the people of the state not to make the same mistake they made during the 2011 election to vote for APC gubernatorial candidate in April 11 polls.
“We need change seriously in this our state, because the ruling APC in the state has not brought anything tangible for the people and the state, as a result of which people are suffering. They have only succeeded in destroying the well being of the citizens. We have to therefore wake up from our slumber and bring change and do away with traitors.”

It also commended the wisdom and courage of the independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) over the handling of the political activities successfully.

Shinkafi stated that the victory of the retired General had shown clearly that the entire people of the country needed change by coming out en masse to vote for him. “People of this country have for long been yearning for change, and eventually, the change has been realized. It is equally important to note that this change is not only limited to the country, but also there is need for change in our state, Zamfara,” he maintained.
According to him, Buhari like everyone knows, is a principled man, and has the country at heart and therefore it is believed that he will take the nation to a greater height.

Shinkafi further commended the electorate, particularly women, for the sacrifice they made during the election, adding, “they turnout of the electorate was commendable, because such turnout was not expected, and I urge all and sundry to maintain the tempo.”
