SIR: The triumph of reason unfolding between the two litigants in the defamatory political documentary orchestrated through AIT’s media space is not only good for our fledgling democracy, its denouncement actually provides a caveat against future occurrence of appropriating undue advantage over opponents through defamatory smear campaign that cannot stand the test of legal scrutiny.

The two dramatis personas Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Chief Raymond Dokpesi are arrow heads of two disparate political conclaves with varied ideological persuasions that are better ventilated through the mediation of the ballots than through unethical media infiltrations.

With the unreserved apology reportedly issued to Bola Tinubu by AIT one can only hope that the latter would not retract the same by yielding to the usual political pressure from his party which is currently facing the hit of public opinion on mismanagement of the country’s patrimony and piloting the nation into a cul-de-sac.
