2025: Obidient Movement vows to rebuild Nigeria’s broken walls

Tanko Yunusa

As Nigerians step into 2025 with hope and resolve, the Obidient Movement, under the leadership of Dr. Yunusa Tanko, has pledged to rebuild Nigeria’s broken walls and restore the nation’s prosperity through patriotism, innovation and grassroots mobilisation.

In a heartfelt New Year goodwill message, Dr. Tanko called on Nigerians to reflect on the victories and challenges of 2024, while embracing 2025 as a year of transformation and possibilities.

Dr. Tanko acknowledged that 2024 posed significant trials for Nigerians, including insecurity, economic instability, high inflation, epileptic power supply, and poverty. However, he urged citizens to use these experiences as fuel for resilience and a renewed determination to reclaim Nigeria’s greatness.

Highlighting the potential of Nigeria’s youths, Dr. Tanko challenged them to lead innovations, pioneer solutions, and showcase Nigeria’s talent globally. “To the youths, this is your time to put Nigeria on the global map as inventors, creators, and problem-solvers,” he said.

Addressing elders, he emphasized the need to create value and influence positive change, leveraging their experience to boost the economy and national unity.

Dr. Tanko reaffirmed the Obidient Movement’s commitment to sustaining its mission of good governance and accountability, emphasizing its preparations for the 2027 general elections. “We have two years to reclaim Nigeria. From community outreaches and ward-to-ward sensitization to rural and urban mobilization, our victory is certain,” he declared.

He encouraged members to reinforce their advocacy, spread the message of transformation, and mobilize voters for a brighter future.

Dr. Tanko called for patriotism, compassion, and diversity appreciation, urging Nigerians to advocate for good governance and national development, embrace cultural diversity and unity, strive for excellence, push boundaries in every field, and preserve the environment for future generations.

“This year is an opportunity to lay the foundation for a Nigeria that transitions from consumption to production, unlocking prosperity for all,” he stated.

The Obidient leader likened Nigeria’s current state to broken walls, pledging that 2025 would mark the beginning of a rebuilding process driven by collaboration, accountability, and purpose-driven leadership.

“With courage and determination, we will rebuild Nigeria’s broken walls and usher in a new era of hope, progress, and greatness,” Tanko declared.

Dr. Tanko concluded by wishing Nigerians joy, prosperity, and endless opportunities in 2025, while reaffirming his faith in Nigeria’s resilience and potential.

“In 2025, we will make a bold statement. Together, we—the Obidient Movement—will ensure that the labour of our heroes past is not in vain. Nigeria shall rise and be great again!”
