A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State, Adebare Abolurin, has congratulated Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, on his emergence as the party’s consensus flagbearer for the 2027 governorship election in the state.
In a statement made available to journalists, Abolurin described Adeola’s emergence as a defining moment in the political history of Ogun State, noting that it reflects destiny, perseverance, and the collective will of the people.
Abolurin, who once served as an aide to the senator, praised Adeola’s leadership qualities, highlighting his discipline, humility, and commitment to public service.
He described the development as far more than a routine political event, portraying it as a powerful reflection of destiny, resilience, and the long-standing collective aspiration of the people for recognition.
The APC chieftain noted that his perspective is shaped by personal experience, having served as an aide to Senator Adeola.
Through this role, he said he observed the senator’s consistent dedication, strong discipline, and genuine commitment to advancing the progress of Ogun State.
According to him, Adeola’s leadership is defined not only by competence but also by humility and a clear sense of purpose.
Abolurin also attributed the outcome to the leadership and statesmanship of Governor Dapo Abiodun, whom he credited with fostering unity and steering a smooth consensus-building process.
He emphasised that at a time when political transitions often trigger divisions, the governor’s ability to align diverse interests and guide the party toward a shared objective reflects зрел leadership and foresight.
Abolurin further highlighted the broader historical importance of the development, particularly for the people of Ogun West.
For years, he noted, the region had sought greater inclusion in the state’s leadership, and the current outcome represents the realization of that long-standing aspiration.
“The emergence of Senator Adeola symbolizes not just political victory, but the breaking of a long-standing jinx; a restoration of hope and inclusion for a people whose voices are now firmly at the center of Ogun’s future. Indeed, this is more than a candidacy; it is a movement. It is the convergence of faith, patience, and preparation meeting opportunity,” he said
