A governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the November 2025 governorship election in Anambra State, Paul Chukwuma, has vowed to address what he termed the decaying infrastructure and insecurity of lives and property across the state as major problems giving the citizenry sleepless nights.

Chukwuma agreed to give people in the state a new breath of life, insisting that the majority of people in Anambra have embraced APC and are working to take over power next year.

Speaking to newsmen in Awka, Anambra State capital, on Friday, the governorship hopeful hinted that his mantra includes human capital development, infrastructural development, and security, assuring that they have been well packaged to lift the state to the next level.

Chukwuma, who spoke through his Director General Ifeanyi Ibezim, vowed that the hitches and bottlenecks in Awka, Onitsha, and Nnewi towns would be tackled in such a manner that would ease movement and make journeys more meaningful and enjoyable for commuters and vehicles passing through the state.

He also criticized the activities of task forces across the state claiming to be security agencies and allegedly harassing and intimidating members of the public while forcefully collecting levies, taxes, and tolls from traders and market women.

bezim said, “We’re here to inform and educate people of Sir Paul Chukwumas’ intention to contest as governor in Anambra state. I appeal to the press to join in decimating the information.

“Paul Chukwuma will work in rebuilding the state. He is ready to tackle the decaying massive infrastructure, wanton killings, while also donated working equipment to offices.

“A concrete plan has been put in place to bring back aggrieved members who had left the party,… set in motion effective steps at rebranding and repositioning our great party in wards down to local government levels”, he said, insisting that the impact of New Anambra is blowing everywhere in the state.
