Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former Governor of Lagos State Asiwaju Bola Tinubu met at the Akure airport yesterday.Although it was not clear why they met, it was believed that it may not be unconnected with Tinubu’s moves to reconcile aggrieved members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who may be working in tandem with Atiku.

It was learnt that Atiku, a leading PDP Presidential aspirant, who was on his way to Ekiti State on a working visit, ran into Tinubu, National Leader of APC, who was with some leaders of the party.

Among chieftains of the APC in company of Tinubu were the Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu, Kashim Imam and Pius Akinyelure, with whom it is believed Tinubu was strategising on the July 14 Ekiti State governorship elections. Both leaders had very healthy chats amidst banter at the airport.

On Atiku’s entourage were former Governor of Ogun State and Director General of the Atiku Presidential Campaign Organisation, Gbenga Daniel; former Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi; Capt. Yaya Abubakar and Adamu Abubakar.
