It was celebration galore as another presidential aspirant and Governor of Jigawa state, Abubakar Badaru stepped down for Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu in the race to emerge flagbearer of the party.
Another presidential aspirant, Sen Ajayi Borrofice who took to the podium a minute after also stepped down for the former Lagos state Governor.
Badaru who recalled the role he played in the 2018 national convention of the party reiterated his support for consensus building in the party.
He also justified his decision saying it was borne out of his resolve to ensure power shift to the South in the spirit of justice and fairness.
