The former Senior Special Assistant to former President Goodluck Jonathan on Domestic and Social Events, Dr. Waripanmowei Dudafagh, has dissociated himself from the alleged directive by the former First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan that all her loyalists should support the second term bid of Governor Seriake Dickson in the forthcoming governorship election of the state.

Dr.-Waripanmowei-DudafaghThe former Senior Special Assistant to former President Goodluck Jonathan on Domestic and Social Events, Dr. Waripanmowei Dudafagh, has dissociated himself from the alleged directive by the former First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan that all her loyalists should support the second term bid of Governor Seriake Dickson in the forthcoming governorship election of the state.

According to Dudafagh, though the purported directive from the Former First Lady has not been confirmed to be true, the directive does not include him and has not changed his position that if the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) fields Dickson as its flag bearer in the forthcoming election, it will fail woefully.

Dr. Dudafagh, in a statement issued by the former secretary to the defunct pro-Jonathan’s group, the Transformation Ambassador of Nigeria (TAN) and a former Bayelsa Commissioner, Hon. Gesiye Isowo, denied that the former First Lady directed him and many others to support the incumbent governor on his second term bid.

Dudafagh, who was expelled from the PDP by the faction of the party loyal to Governor Seriake Dickson over alleged anti-party posture, was alleged to have been the sponsors of the election of victory of Abiye Tarabina of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) during the State House of Assembly election in the State.

Loyalists of Dudafagh have also accused the state Dickson of instigating the invasion and looting of his Yenagoa home by some unidentified armed men. Also among the grievances of Dudafagh loyalists against Dickson were the alleged online media attacks against Dudafagh and his expulsion from the Party. The concerned Dudafagh loyalists claimed that such support for Governor Dickson is not deserved until the right things are done with his recall from the purported expulsion from the Party and true reconciliation.

According to the statement issued by Hon. Isowo in Yenagoa,” our attention has been drawn to a story making the rounds in the print and electronic media concerning a decision said to have been taken by Her Excellency, the former 1st Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan, to support the second term bid of Governor Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State, where it was also reported that he was consequently directed to work for Dickson too.”

” There is no truth in the claim that Her Excellency the former 1st Lady directed Dr. Dudafa to work for the re-election of Gov. Dickson.”
