There was a near crisis situation at Polling Unit (PU) 015, Jabi Maje/Jabi Primary School, Abuja, where many voters were threatening violence over failure of the card readers to recognise all voters on the queue.

Majority of the voters, who were said to be from the South, accused INEC of collusion and sabotage.;The polling unit has three polling points but the card readers were not working.

The PU had a massive population of Igbo, who were very agitated that it is was a ploy to disenfranchise them from voting. They threatened to resort to violence, if INEC failed to rectify the situation. Security agencies, including the police, Immigration Service and Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) operatives had a hectic time controlling the situation.
