Parallel congresses in Zamfara, marafa camp elects Garba

In yet another split congress, Alhaji Surajo Garba has emerged as the Zamfara State chairman of the Senator Kabiru Marafa faction of the APC.Congress Committee Chairman, Alhaji Abdulqadir Mohammad Gusau, in a statement, said apart from Garba, Alhaji Rabiu Emir, Bello Soja, Nafisa Ahmed and Shehu Ibrahim also emerged as state youth leader, publicity secretary, woman leader and state secretary.

He said 26 other persons emerged for other positions at the end of the congress and urged the new party leaders to carry everybody along and work towards uniting the party ahead of the 2019 polls. 

Leader of the group, Senator Kabiru Marafa, urged the faction loyal to Governor Abdulaziz Yari to join hands with the new executives to move Zamfara State forward, even as he cautioned the governor against impunity and lawlessness.
