PDP vice chairman gives condition for consensus
Ahead of the May 28 presidential primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the newly-elected Vice Chairman (North West), Sen. Bello Gwarzo, has said that the party can pick a consensus candidate for the 2023 elections, if all members and aspirants agree.
While fielding questions from journalists after his elected in recent zonal congress, where he defeated Mohammed Yusuf by 426 votes to 313, Gwarzo said the focus of the party is to wrest power from the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Thanking those who voted him in as the vice chairman, Gwarzo appealed to his rival in the election to join him in the effort to defeat the APC.
