The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced that it will commence its campaigns on Thursday, August 14, for the local government elections scheduled for August 30, 2025.

The party also stated that the Rivers State Independent National Electoral Commission (RSIEC) has the ability and capability to conduct a peaceful, free, fair, and credible local government election on August 30, 2025

The party disclosed that its campaign flag-off will take place at Captain Elechi Amadi Polytechnic, along Rumola Road, Port Harcourt.

Earlier in a meeting, the State Chairman of the APC, Tony Okocha, assured the party’s chairmanship candidates of the APC’s support before, during, and after the 2025 council polls.
