The Rosicrucian Order, AMORC, yesterday, urged the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu to improve on President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration by working with brilliant minds, noting that any incoming government must strive to do better than the previous.

Speaking at the organisation’s 2023 Lagos Zone annual conclave, tagged: “Practical Rosicrucian Tools for Nation Building,” Most Worthy Honorary Grand Master, Fr Kenneth Idiodi urged Tinubu to be circumspect in the choice of his administrative team.

Idiodi added that education is the principal ingredient in the development of a free and enlightened society, noting that it is the way to move towards human civilization.

In his welcome address, Coordinator Memphis Heptad, Olusola Atilola said nation-building is about building a nation where the people have a common sense of belonging, where state institutions work, and where there is prevalence of justice, peace and security.

He added that it is a place where democracy thrives, common national identity is in existence and where citizens have equal opportunity for the realisation of their legitimate socio-economic pursuit in consistency with common good.

Atilola said the task of nation-building requires leaders with great minds, who understand that whatever positions they occupy, especially political positions, provide them opportunities to serve God by serving man.

“Can any nation be built by people who are driven mainly by materialistic instincts, people without knowledge of spiritual truths and the understanding of the purpose of creation and human existence such as espoused by the structure Martinists teachings?

“The task nation-building starts with each and everyone of us, therefore, let us dutifully continually attune for positive changes in the polity; that our leaders may be guided and directed aright in their choices and actions, that they may enthrone good governance for the good of all.

“And as we attune, let us in our daily activities think good, speak good and do good as a way of life so that we may positively impact those we interact with, thus daily becoming better agents of divinity and nation builders.”

On his part, Grand Councilor, Lagos Zone, Babatope Ogunnowo, who delivered the lecture, harped on innovation and technology as essential tools for nation-building.
