Estate surveyors and valuers have been advised to exhibit the highest standard of professionalism, mentorship of the younger generation and commitment to best practices as exemplified by the late Olatunde Adegbemile.

The forum brought together friends, families and professional colleagues, who described him as a man who left an enduring legacy for the practitioners. They noted that his profound impact on the real estate community is a testament to his remarkable life.
Alonge said Adegbemile was a great leader and versatile professional who alongside his contemporaries played a crucial role and participated in every activity leading to the institution’s formation.
According to him, his unwavering dedication, commitment, integrity, and forthrightness, as well as his unparalleled efforts in fostering growth, progress and development, were the virtues and attributes exemplified when he served as the honorary Secretary of the Lagos State Branch, Honorary National Secretary of the institution, and Chairman of ESVARBON.
“He was a man who devoted his life to building and extending the frontiers of influence of our noble profession. He was a man who demonstrated the highest ideals of honour and integrity, and whose leadership was marked by a relentless commitment to excellence, and a deep sense of duty.
“His passing is a profound loss to all of us, but we find comfort in the legacy of leadership, dedication, commitment to professionalism and worthy ideals he left behind.”
The ESVARBON board Chairman, Dosu Fatokun, said: “He was a mentor to many, always willing to share his vast knowledge and experience. His passion for estate surveying and valuation was matched only by his desire to see the profession grow and evolve.

The Chairman of RICS Nigeria Group, Mr Tayo Odunsi, noted that the association stands on the shoulders of his foresight, commitment and sacrifices to the profession and will be forever grateful for his enduring legacies, which have created the opportunities it enjoys.
