Expert have, at the third edition of the Real Estate Summit TERRApy 3.0, emphasised the pivotal role of trust and integrity to curb the increasing menace of fraud and substandard structures in Nigeria’s real estate industry.

The summit, which was held in Lagos, was organised by Terra Developers Ltd, with the theme: “Realtor Odyssey 360: Decoding and Mastering Real Estate Dynamics” and it attracted diverse professionals in the real estate sector from across the country as well as featuring workshops designed to advance the industry.

The CEO of Terra Developers, Mr. Kola Ashiru-Balogun, said they were deeply worried about the declining capacity of professionals in the real estate sector, because the summit, the third in its series, was organised for industry professionals to push for solution-driven real estate practice.

“Trust and integrity are paramount in every real estate transaction. Every real estate professional must be committed to ensuring that every business interaction leaves a lasting impression of trustworthiness and truthfulness.

“Our goal is to contribute to the development of the industry in Nigeria through the growth of industry practitioners; hence we have made the event free for all. We strongly believe that together we can work towards mitigating the many challenges that we face as real estate practitioners today,” Ashiru-Balogun added.

The CEO of Robert Taylor Media, Bukky George-Taylor, spoke on the topic: ‘Unlocking Digital Doorways’, while other experts from different fields spoke on diverse insightful topics that would improve the sector.

“As the real estate sector in Nigeria continues to evolve, there should be emphasis on redefining customer experience, such as after-sales services, the art of email etiquette, and the importance of nurturing warm and enduring client relationships, conducive to future referrals,” George-Taylor said.
