Adekunle Gold goes to space in ‘Surrenda’ video
Urban highlife sensation Adekunle Gold has released the visuals to ‘Surrenda’; a song off his sophomore studio album ‘About 30’, which sees the singer verbalize his ardent love for an unidentified lover.
Donning a complete spacesuit, Adekunle can be seen aboard what appears to be a space station, which was momentarily introduced as “the About 30 space station”. The singer exits the loading bay and enters the control station before an attractive crew member who appears to be his love interest is shown in another section of the station.
Both Adekunle and the crew member prepare to fly a space shuttle, activating several intricate and futuristic looking control panels whilst giving off what can be described as an effortless chemistry between the co-pilots.
The video boasts a number of incredible dancers, who all dance in synchronised manners aboard the space station; decked out in their space garments.
The visuals go on to show Adekunle and his love interest share endearing romantic moments whilst their space shuttle orbits earth. Various sections of the space shuttle are covered throughout the duration of the video.
The entire ambiance in ‘Surrenda’ commendably looks like something straight out of a James Cameron sci-fi flick; giving it a unique cinematic and visually appealing feel all through.
Directed by the widely revered Sam Kirk, ‘Surrenda’ marks Adekunle’s third official video off ‘About 30’ album and a direct follow-up to ‘Fame’ video and ‘Ire’ video, which were released in February and May respectively.
About 30’ is available worldwide and can be purchased on Tidal, Spotify, Google Play, Deezer, Apple Music and others.
